Got my new BT catch can installed today! All went well except for a missing bolt, but no biggie. I am taking a ~2000 mile trip to Florida starting tomorrow and I will be interested in seeing how much oil accumulates in the can on this trip. This is the standard satin can with free hoses, nothing fancy here.

Just curious, but why the truck over the Charger for the trip?

Nice addition and I would love to see you document how much you have at each fuel stop compared to how many miles you've got on it.

They honestly get about the same highway mileage and I don't really want to put 2000 extra miles on the Charger. Also, no spare on the Charger, less room for the wife's 15 suitcases. And most importantly, if I hit a deer or something in the truck it's just a truck, if I hit something in the car, I will probably cry.

I have an app on my phone to track gas mileage, but probably wont drop the can every time. I dropped it today after my 15 mile drive home from work and it was hotter than hell! No oil in it though.

Thanks, and I will.

Hopefully, I can pull out of Tulsa by 6:00 tonight so I can get to our cheapo hotel in Jackson, MS by 2 AM, sleep a little while and do the last 5 hours Saturday morning.

I had originally planned to drive straight though, 14 hours, which I didn't have a problem with. But, that would put us there about 8AM and I would want to sleep the rest of the day.

I've done the OK-Las Vegas straight through before and another time we stopped in Alb. NM and slept for a couple hours. We're supposed to go again in July, but we'll be stopping half way again. Be careful Morgan.

Made it to Jackson, not a bad drive at all with a few Monster drinks. Now I'm all wired, hope I can sleep! It seems that I have forgotten a can of Fukken wax and the front of my truck is covered in bugs!

I forgot that I never posted these pics. I checked the CC once on the way down and there wasn't a whole lot in it, so I figured it would be fine for the rest of the trip. This is pretty much all from my trip to Florida, about 1800 miles. I poured it into a water bottle and it's about 1/2" up or so. I plan to keep emptying it into the same water bottle and see how much I gather for every oil change. This can was installed about 20 after I changed my oil.

I was very pleased with the truck during the whole trip. The seats are super comfortable and I have no issues driving non stop. We did stop after about 9 hours on the way down there, but I could have easily drove the other 5 that night. I did drive straight through on the way home though, almost 14 hours.

The truck did pretty good on gas, I actually got about 19.5 on the way down there, but only about 17.5 on the way back, but my foot was a little heavier and it was more up hill. Overall, about 18 for the trip. With a 2/4 drop and some street tires, that could have easily been 20+ overall. I'm sure my heavy A/T tires don't help with fuel.

Had a great time on the trip, but like all vacations it wasn't long enough. Good thing is, I didn't spend near what I though we would, like $1000 less. So, I bought the 4wheeler I have been wanting. :D

Yep, I was surprised.

Forgot to mention, my headlights, they are amazing! About 12 hours of my 30 hour trip was in the dark. The low beams were great, better than most other cars on the road, then you switch to highs and it's like driving in the daytime! I was able to see about a dozen deer on the sides of the road that I probably wouldn't have seen with normal lights.
