My new sub box

Here are the finished pics of my new sub box. It's identical to Jeremy's with the exception of the speaker terminal location. I unfortunately didn't get and pics of the glassing process. Don't mind the nasty floor, glassing tends to make a mess of everything. Also, because I countersunk the sub, I had to move it forward a little and it won't fit with the Alpine logo facing forwards due to the speaker wires being on the front side of the sub. This box has some very tight clearances with the Type R.

yeah, looks good. I pulled it, checked really quick. I was on a conf call when it came in.......luckily with a small group. When Fedex showed up I yelled some profanity at the barking dog.........thinking I was on mute. Best part, my kid is here today (6 year old) - he yelled "yeah, shut the hell up you stupid bitch dog". LOL............damn I am a great father! :D

how much cubic inches woyld you gain but cuttin out the carpet and padding on the 09+

not a lot. Its thicker than the 3rd gens, but nothing crazy

This one is around 0.8 cubic feet, removing the padding might get you an extra 0.02 or so. Only real benefit of removing the carpet would be to have more room for a bigger sub, but I'm not willing to do permanent carpet removal on my truck.

the carpet comes out easily and is not permanent.

Mine was out of mine for a while. Its back in now.
