Well I put this in my other thread but it's mostly dead and forgotten as it was all about the install...

This is what I found after about 350 miles of mostly highway, surprisingly light footed driving (trying something new), and a bit in town:

It wasn't straight oil...kind of a brownish hue to it like it had been watered down...I'm guessing it's from the same moisture that we always see condensing on the roof of the oil filler cap.

It just kills me to think how much got in during the 7500 miles I drove the truck before I put the can on.

Damn that's a lot of oil for 350 miles! I have always been about a quart low for every oil change so I guess that's where it's all going. No wonder my exhaust tips get so black so quick.

I think switching to a 30 weight oil would help with this as well. Hell my Charger take 0w40, so 0w30 shouldn't be too thick for the 5.7.

Yeah, I actually thought of that as well, but I like my MDS.

Absolutely...I like the gas mileage I net off of it with all the interstate driving I do.

I might enable my MDS when I take our road trip to Destin, FL this June. It might actually do some good on that trip.

Yeah. I'm sure it will do at least a little good.
