So, I spent $90 in materials today:

But that should take care of four big projects for the next couple of days. I'm going to keep updating this thread as I get them stated and finished.

I chose the easiest to do first, especially since I didn't get started today until around 5.

Pulled the tips off and cleaned them with Mineral Spirits:

Did some light sanding to scuff the surface:

Here's what I'm using: Rustoleum Engine Enamel in semigloss black. BTW, if you don't have one of these little trigger things, they are GREAT. I've had this one for about a year and it's held up well.

After a couple light coats:

Tonight I'll start prepping the badges and hopefully spray tomorrow.

Jeremy if you don't have one of those trigger things, with as much as you paint, you're insane.

I have on of those sprayers and don't like it. I have a better feel for spraying without it...

I like the way this one works. I didn't think I would like it because I figured it wouldn't hug the can very well...it does. It's actually a bit of a pain to pull the can back out, you kind of have to twist.

Here's a small update:

Thanks guys. That's my first time actually completing some detailed masking. The other times I've tried I failed miserably and gave up...I almost didn't do this because of the masking. I got a hobby knife set on the suggestion of a member from a differernt forum. Picked one up for $5.99 at Harbor Freight with three different knives and 13 different blades.

I think the sprayer can be had for less than $2.

Tips look good to me, but they seem a little high. Almost makes them look smashed against the bumper...

Oh, and why do you still have your dealer sticker on your tailgate?:Nonono:

I personally like the tips tucked up (not smashed :D) closer to the bumper. There's still about a 1/4" between the bumper and tip. I may lower them a bit...I need to feel them out.

The dealer sticker will come off when I de-badge.

Got the wheels, calipers, and grill done...badges have to be done again as the paint ended up being a couple shades too dark:
