But I am thinking of selling my camo 870 shotgun and buying a red leer tonneau cover. They said they would sell it to me for 250. And it looks sharp. I think it would fit my truck really nicely. What do you guys think?? Extra shotgun or or tonneau cover?

That is what I am thinking. Only thing is, it is a little drive. My Grandma lives near by, so if I can whip up a reason to drive down I might have a chance at not ruffling my wives feathers too bad.

You would get more use from the cover.

Well this might happen, my Grandma's birthday is saturday. And my mom just texted me to ask if I want to go down there with her and dad to surprise her.

Now how long does an install take? Could I do it with basic hand tools? Or am I going to need power tools?

What if my parents end up driving the expedition. Could we strap it to the top? Is that safe?

I would assume it just clamps to the bed rails like any other cover. You should be able to install with a wrench or socket, probably about a 9/16. I wouldn't trust strapping it to the roof of anything either...

Yup Very Easy. I have one. If it is the low profile caps and not like a camper shell you will need a basic ratchet and adjustable wrench. Too bad Mine wasn't red I would trade you. lol I am looking for a good shot gun. lol

Lol, they would know something was up. And my Mom hates my truck. She is short. Some how I ended up 6'6" so I sit right into my truck. She has to climb up in it. And mpg is 12-16 in my truck compared to 16-20 in expedition.

Yup very true. I got the same random Gene. My mom is 5'6 " and my dad is 5'5" so how I got 6'1" I dunno. lol

my are was 4 clamps that used a single 1/2 bolt to attach it to the truck. i could have the clamps off in a matter of minutes, putting it on takes a but more time due to alignment but still not bad maybe 10 minutes on a bad day
